We often refuse to accept how acting can be exhausting, just like any other profession. This can be due to strict days on set, long hair and makeup routines, difficult schedules along with various circuits and appearance that includes a production and press, as after all, there is a lot of effort going into the craft. As an audience, it’s easy to lose sight of when we’re mainly just seeing actors on screens. As such, they undoubtedly deserve a breather every now and then, and that’s just what one of Hollywood’s active stars has now decided in Andrew Garfield.
Andrew Garfiled is an Oscar-nominated actor who has been featured in several award-winning films, including The Amazing Spider-Man, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, The Eyes of Tammy Faye and others. The actor has been going on for the past year or so with “The Eyes of Tammy Faye” and “Tick, Tick … Boom!”
While most audiences will recognize him as Spider-Man in Marc Webb’s 2012 and 2014 films, he really broke out on the scene for his incredible performance as Eduardo Saverin in David Fincher’s The Social Network. He also starred in Silence, 99 Homes and Breathe.
Now he can be seen in “Under the Banner of Heaven,” FX’s limited series adaptation of Jon Krakauer’s 2003 true crime book of the same name. Garfield plays a Mormon detective investigating the brutal murder of a mother (Daisy Edgar-Jones) and her baby daughter by fundamentalist followers of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
“I have to recalibrate and reconsider
In a recent interview, he announced that he was taking some time off from his entire career and rather “resting for a while.” Regarding his decision to take a breather, the actor added: “It feels very important at the moment, especially after a lot of output, being very out in the world and giving a lot of energy to things I am very. Passionate about. Like “It’s so tempting to live like that just to always go to the next thing. But actually, and I know it’s a privilege that I can even consider it, to really take time.”
Meanwhile, just a few days ago, Garfield was seen hanging out with Tobey Maguire. The two new bests went to a CAA performance of Michelle Yeoh’s “Everything Everywhere All at Once.” Afterwards, Andrew also talked about his friendship with Tobey. Andrew Garfield said his fellow Peter Parker is a good actor, but even praised him for being a good friend.
While he may have said then that he wants to work with Tobey again, given the hiatus now, it looks like it will not happen any time soon. The actor has also announced that he has said goodbye to his ex-girlfriend, Alyssa, due to work schedules and workload and now wants to lead a “normal” life for a while.
