One of the challenges of working from home is maintaining your mental, emotional and physical aspects. With that out of the way, here are some tips on how to maintain these specific aspects of your life.

  • Eat balanced and healthy food. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) states that we should not skip a day, especially breakfast. Additionally, the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute states that a healthy diet includes eating nutritious foods such as fruits, vegetables, low-fat dairy, and whole grain products.
  • Schedule regular exercise. Regular exercise can help you stay healthy both physically and mentally. According to the Department of Homeland Security, people are considering commuting time in lieu of exercise due to the positive effects of exercise.
  • Keep up with your sleep schedule. What’s keeping you up late? Netflix? YouTube videos or browsing your social media accounts? Whatever your reason, you should close it. Sleep provides energy for our activities throughout the day. If you lack sleep, you will find yourself groggy throughout the day.

They say you should leave your work in the office when you’re done with the day’s work hours. Yes, you should know your limits. Some experts emphasize distancing yourself from work and giving yourself time to catch your breath at the end of the day.
